Muslim community observe an austere fast and perform religious, spiritual activities such as benevolent giving etc in the month of Ramadan. At the end of 30 days of fasting in Ramadan, the community rejoice with their family and friends which is known as Eid-al-fitr means festival of fast breaking. Eid al-Fitr also called Feast of Breaking the Fast is an important religious celebration followed by Muslims all over the world. On the occasion of Eid-ul-fitr, people performs Eid prayers and then visits their relatives or friends to give wishes and gifts to their loved ones.
In 2014, Ramadan will begin on Saturday, the 28th of June and will continue for 30 days until Sunday, the 27th of July.
